‘Construction Certificate’ definition: A Construction Certificate endorses that:
(a) the development complies with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act; (b) the development is consistent with the Development Consent; (c) the construction details comply with the Building Code of Australia; (d) all conditions have been complied with prior to the issue of a Construction Certificate.
A Construction Certificate is required prior to the commencement of any building works on a site, including ground clearance and tree removal. A Construction Certificate is not required for complying development, as a Complying Development Certificate is appropriate in this instance.
