You want to subdivide your property, but you need some guidance. Maybe you don’t know where to start or, perhaps, you’ve done a little research into the subdivision and development guidelines but the more you read the more overwhelming and confusing the process becomes.

Colin Fragar, our founder and CEO, speaks from experience to the importance of having a town planner involved in the process.

So what are the best subdivision and development guidelines? My name is Colin Fragar from Council Approval Group.

Today, I wanted to talk to you about your subdivision and what you might have in mind. It’s very exciting that you are actually exploring this topic because subdivision for me personally has really helped my life and my family.

I highly recommend subdivision to you because of the equity and massive intergenerational wealth that it creates… but it is a process which is quite hard to understand.

Subdivision is a process which is quite hard to understand. And it’s not just simply going to a surveyor and asking, “Hey, can I subdivide my land”?

Subdivision and development guidelines

My experience has been that a town planner will find the loopholes in the subdivision and development guidelines. They can find ways to depart from the minimum lot size, whereas a surveyor will typically just draw the lines.

What you really want to do is to unite yourself with a town planning firm like Council Approval Group.

I suggest that today you grab a copy of this ultimate guide in achieving Council Approval. We put this together for people like you that are exploring subdivisions and in there are pages dedicated to answering questions about subdivision and providing some tips and tricks. Can you depart from minimum lot sizes and what are some of the thoughts around that? Why is subdivision so difficult and how do you overcome those challenges? What are the stormwater environmental requirements? Things like that.

Book a consultation

If you do have a specific project in mind, then what I recommend to you, if you are serious, is to book in for an appointment.

To speak to one of our team please book in your free consult here. You will be able to select your appointment time and have a conversation with a Council Approval consultant to roadmap the next steps for you.
