Many clients come to us for help when they decide to make changes to their property or undertake a renovation. Every property is different and there are many elements to consider, depending on your Local Government Area and where your property is situated.
Our planners are experts at investigating what can and can’t be done, helping you to achieve the best possible outcome when it comes to your renovation.
For this project below we managed both the town planning and design services for our client, streamlining the council approval process and maximising efficiencies along the way.
Located in a beautiful leafy suburb in New South Wales’ Blue Mountains, the project involved a considerable extension that would provide a haven for a family that had outgrown the existing dwelling.
The brief from the client was to create a light filled home, allowing for open plan living, where the kitchen and living area could be the heart of the home. The owners also didn’t want to compromise the existing traditional cottage on site.
By using our design services, the town planner and Architect were able to work together in maximising the scope and design, with no need for changes further down the track.
Our design team crafted the perfect balance between old and new.
High ceilings and floor to ceiling windows were used to bring in warm natural light. While the open plan living created an expansive space for our clients to live and entertain all year round.
The extension flows seamlessly from the cottage onto a garden that links the house together, an oasis between old and new, the past and future.
