Compliance not only with design but with number of spaces needed and adequate provision of parking for people with a disability. Will you be seen to be placing an extra burden on existing infrastructure? How do you know what is adequate?

Accessibility – You must be sure that your existing building or new construction meets all the accessibility requirements including parking requirements and building design.

Traffic generation – Do you know how much traffic will be generated by the medical centre? Is the existing infrastructure capable of handling the additional traffic? Do you know an experienced professional that can prepare a traffic report to illustrate this information for Council?
4.
Aesthetics – Does the proposed building design fit with the community? Medical centres are typically larger buildings so it is important that the design works with the character of the neighbourhood.
5.
Surgical waste – How will you manage the complex provisions associated with the disposal of surgical waste? You will need a waste management plan to go with your DA specific to the disposal of surgical waste. State health regulations require surgical waste disposal arrangements to ensure contaminated waste is collected and disposed of in a safe and hygienic manner.
