Environmental Impacts – Transport Depot tend to require large hardstand surfaces. Erosion and sediment control and stormwater management will be important to planning and mitigating for environmental impacts. Will Freight transport maintenance be provided on site? Will hazardous liquids be stored on the premises?


Outdoor storage – Transport Depot sometimes require outdoor storage. What will be stored outside? How will you protect it from the elements? Have you considered security and screening so that the storage is not visible from the road. Some councils do not allow outdoor storage, have you considered any alternatives to outdoor storage?

All vehicles must be able to enter and exit in a forward position. Are the area roads capable of handling the type of traffic generated?
