So a question I get asked a lot is how to subdivide a property. My name is Colin Fragar from Council Approval Group.
If you’re thinking about a subdivision, congratulations, that means you’re thinking about your financial future. It means that you’re serious about creating the future that you want.

Why Subdivision

Now, if you’re thinking about a subdivision, my question back to you is, why a subdivision? Have you thought about all the different development scenarios? Because what we want to do is, if you’re not successful at a subdivision, find an alternative for you. Maybe you can get a secondary income , a dual income. Maybe we can get a granny flat, a secondary dwelling or dual occupancy.

Ways to Subdivide a Property

If you’re thinking about a subdivision and you really have your heart set on that then there’s a few different options that we can look out for you.

For example, Torrens title subdivision and strata title subdivision usually have different rules and different minimum lot sizes depending on which area that you are in Australia. Also, one of my favorites, is a dual occupancy subdivision. I really recommend we look at that for you as well.

Take the Next Step

So what are your next steps? If you are serious, it is to book in an appointment to speak to one of our team at councilapproval.com.au, where we’ll be able to talk about your goals for your property. The first consultation is complimentary. It’s really about us trying to understand you what you’re trying to achieve. Then what we’ll do is recommend a roadmap that’s tailor made to you to work out whether or not we can subdivide your property or maybe there’s something even better that we can do for you.

My name is Colin Fragar from Council Approval Group. Thanks for joining us.
