So why subdivide land? My name is Colin Fragar from Council Approval Group.
I would like to help you to understand that question. In Secrets of Property Millionaires Exposed, which I featured in and is a great book, a whole bunch of different questions are asked of different property investors in Australia. And I shared my story in there.
Why I Subdivide Land
My story, in my 20s, started in property subdivision. The very first one that I did was on a very small property. It was in a regional center in Australia and had an existing house on it. And what I did was, I added a second house behind and then I subdivided it.I held those two houses for a period of time. And then I got to the point where I wanted to sell one and so I sold one. I significantly reduced the debt levels of that remaining property. As a result, I was able to do some really cool things in my life and it really took a lot of the financial pressure off me as I went through my life.
For anybody who is thinking about doing a subdivision, I highly recommend it. It is just an incredible way to be able to move away from financial insecurity and to move towards that financial dream that you have for yourself and your family.
